Thank you for supporting the United Way!
On Tuesday, November 11, over 600 volunteers and supporters celebrated another successful United Way of Greater St. Louis campaign at Ballpark Village.
Campaign Chair Scott Schnuck, chairman of the board at Schnucks Markets and Co-Chair Mike DeCola, CEO of HBM Holding, announced the amount raised of $73,000,075. The record-breaking amount exceeded the goal for the 2014 fundraising campaign of $72.5 million by $500,075! More than 2,500 companies ran campaigns and 150,000 individuals contributed. Fourteen companies raised more than $1 million this year.
The annual campaign provides support for more than 170 nonprofit organizations, including Mary Ryder Home, in the United Way’s 16-county area in Missouri and Illinois.
Mary Ryder Home relies heavily on grants, contributions from donors, special events and the United Way to keep the Home running. The United Way of Greater St. Louis is our largest donor, providing 40% of our annual budget. Without the United Way, we would not be in existence.
People in the region have demonstrated their amazing generosity and caring once again by achieving this record amount so thank you again St. Louis!
